You can find sample bug/feature posts at the top of the community page.
Tag your post with the correct category. ('bug' and 'feature request' are available tags.)
For bugs: first state the problem first and how I can recreate the bug on my end.
For complex bugs, use a list of steps (use the list button at the top of the text box). Simple bugs (1 or 2 steps or easy to explain) don't need this.
If it feels necessary, add what you expected to happen.
Give the post a short title related to the bug.
If you're unsure of whether something is a bug, make a post anyway.
Mention the game version. (You don't need to include 'v' at the beginning or any suffixes like '-alpha'.)
Have one bug per post. Do not put multiple bugs in one post.
For feature requests: say what you want to happen in the game and, optionally, any benefits it has (i.e. a non-bug problem it solves).
Feature requests include adjustments, e.g., faster move speed or more inventory slots.
Make sure your bug/request isn't already described by someone else. Additionally, if you see posts you think need more attention, upvote them.
Don't worry about capitalization--the basic format described so far should do it.
